Greg Aldridge
Principal Planner
Greg is an accomplished planner, bringing 15 years of diverse experience in laboratory planning and design to his work. With a background in mechanical engineering and extensive hands-on experience in academic laboratory settings, Greg is uniquely positioned to deliver innovative and effective solutions for complex research environments.
Operating at the intersection of science, design and strategy, Greg collaborates with a wide range of stakeholders across academia and industry to best understand their needs and translate them into effective planning solutions. Working closely with architects and engineers, he applies a strategic approach to create efficient research spaces that support modern research. Having worked in academia for most of his career, Greg understands the challenges universities face in research space utilization and allocation. In response to this experience, he currently leads our research space utilization working group, in partnership with more than a dozen leading institutions, to explore shared issues and develop a set of best practices for optimizing research space utilization.
Passionate about contributing to the scientific community, he is an International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories board member and a frequent presenter at the Society for College and University Planning, Tradeline and other leading research conferences.
