Ken Booth
Senior Facility Design Manager,
Operations & Maintenance Facility Design
Ken is passionate about creating positive and healthy workplaces for operations and maintenance employees. His innovations have helped improve efficiency and streamline extremely specialized processes — and in ways that enhance productivity and safety. Facility programming, master planning and equipment industrial design are right in Ken’s wheelhouse. Based in our Denver office, Ken oversees planning and design of many of our facility projects in the Central U.S. and Canada. During his nearly three decades of facility design, he has helped more than 200 projects come to life and improve operations for our clients, which include transit agencies, municipalities, universities and the U.S. military.
Ken’s design philosophy emphasizes an accurate space-needs program based on operational needs and industry standards; this is because operations benefit from efficient workflows. Those are established by prioritizing functional relationships within an organization. His expertise has shaped highly specialized facilities such as the Powell Garage Transit O&M Facility in Portland, Oregon, and the Saskatoon Civic Operations Center in Saskatchewan, Canada. Be sure to look for Ken at industry events. He’s also an avid baseball fan who occasionally takes in a Rockies away game while traveling.
