Sean O’Brien, P.E., CCM, LEED O&M, CFM
Federal Construction Director
Sean is driven by his passion to help clients mitigate problems and illuminate the bigger picture. He runs our Federal Program Management and Construction Management group that specializes in Field Services solutions for our clients. Typical projects include program management support for large capital programs, construction management services for groups or facility and infrastructure projects, commissioning, third-party oversight, professional staff augmentation, project controls support and emergency management field services.
Sean’s group provides these services primarily for the federally funded projects supporting all of our markets around the world. His team has operated in most U.S. states, Guam, Puerto Rico, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Afghanistan, Kuwait and Japan, providing direct assistance to the federal government on over 1,000 construction projects.
He has over 30 years of experience managing over $3 billion in federal environmental, engineering, construction and emergency management projects. His active-duty military background in environmental and engineering management equips him with in-depth knowledge of federal and U.S. Department of Defense environmental programs and engineering programs. Sean's experience also includes contingency response projects, natural disaster preparedness, programming, design and project oversight.
As a P.E. (design), CCM (construct), CFM (operate), and LEED O&M (sustainability), Sean sees projects and programs from start to end, understands the goals and constraints of each stage, and facilitates the client’s best interests during all phases of a project.
