In the ninth episode of “Listen, Mental Health Matters,” Brian Giebink, HDR’s behavioral and mental health practice lead, speaks with Dr. Matthew Siegel, chief of clinical enterprise for the Department of Psychiatry at Boston Children’s Hospital. Together, they explore how mental and physical health are intimately intertwined and the need for new pediatric mental health space that enhances care by design of the experience to address the under-resourced service line of pediatric mental health care.

Dr. Matthew Siegel

Dr. Matthew Siegel is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist who serves as chief of clinical enterprise at Boston Children’s Hospital and chief behavioral health officer at Franciscan Children's Hospital. His research focuses on developing effective multi-disciplinary care for serious behavioral challenges and co-occurring psychiatric disorders in youth with developmental disabilities. He founded and is the principal investigator of the Autism and Developmental Disorders Inpatient Research Collaborative (ADDIRC) and founded the first learning health network of inpatient units serving people with developmental disabilities.
