The Mountain Line Downtown Connection Center marks a milestone as the first mass timber facility in Northern Arizona and only the second in the state. By using cross-laminated timber (CLT), the design team reduced embodied energy by over 30% compared to a traditional steel structure. Riders can look forward to a much-improved transit experience with access to air-conditioned waiting spaces, public restrooms and a beautifully landscaped environment with native plantings and public art.
