Where the People Are: Landscapes Reimagined by Multi-Faceted Designers

Although exasperated by the pandemic, outdoor spaces have long been environments for individuals and groups to gather, play, and celebrate. Featured alongside leaders in landscape design, HDR's Jen Cross, site design leader, and Shai Roos, urban planning principal, encourage communities to view recreation spaces as a public infrastructure necessary for healthy communities and advocate for community engagement and sustainable landscaping practices to ensure recreation spaces are used by and reflective of the communities they serve.
