LightFair 2023 Conference
The Javits Center
429 11th Avenue
LightFair is an architectural and commercial trade show and conference, serving as a marketplace, networking and learning destination that has connected industry professionals from across the Globe for 30 years.
Recent advancements in graphics technology have afforded lighting designers capabilities previously only accessible to high-budget studios. Our lighting engineers Riley Johnson and Jeff Thompson will be hosting a session titled "What can lighting designers learn from Hollywood?" at 2 p.m. on May 24. This course will explore technology and processes used in the entertainment industries and how lighting designers can adopt similar techniques.
Riley and Jeff will demonstrate progress and examples of integrated design, modeling, and rendering between interiors, architecture, lighting, and landscape design services on projects from concepts to construction documents. Multiple case studies and lessons learned will be presented, along with a framework to implement a similar workflow in any studio.
