Shayne Blazley Appointed to Lead Growth in Australia and New Zealand
HDR has promoted Shayne Blazley to regional business development director for building engineering services (BES) in Australia and New Zealand.
In his new position, Blazley will oversee business development and market strategy activities for the group's regional operations. He will collaborate with operational teams, project leads and global sector leaders to broaden the company's client portfolio and support the delivery of multidisciplinary services.
The appointment is part of HDR's ongoing initiatives to enhance its building engineering services capabilities in Australia and New Zealand, providing consultancy for the built environment and addressing a variety of projects and client requirements across its core markets.
Blazley has been with HDR for over seven years, previously serving as a director. During this period, he played a significant role in growing the business in Oceania and in securing major project contracts. HDR credits his client–focused leadership with helping to establish enduring relationships and deliver consistent programme growth throughout the region.
As regional business development director, Blazley will identify new market opportunities, support the development of strategic partnerships, and encourage collaboration across HDR's operations and global network. The company states that this leadership move will support efforts to advance HDR's presence and footprint in the Australian and New Zealand markets.
