Types and Locations of Edge Data Centers

Edge data centers are positioned to help meet future demands for unprecedented amounts of data. Our Tom Widawsky co-authored this white paper for the Telecommunications Industry Association, which was reprinted in Mission Critical Magazine. The white paper provides an overview of edge equipment and the types and potential locations of network-based and establishment-based edge data centers. It is part of a series of “Solutions Briefs” from TIA intended to establish a framework for future edge data center development.
