Employee Experience and Talent Development Director
Katie leads efforts related to employee engagement, culture and the overall feel of what it's like to work at HDR. She also facilitates our career development ecosystem, providing employees with the support and professional growth opportunities needed to thrive today while helping shape our future organization. Her passion for cultivating talent was evident early on when she launched programs focused on young professionals and mentoring, a relatively new concept at HDR at the time.
Katie began her career as a civil engineer and has served in a variety of client, project and business leadership roles. Prior to her current role, she was operations leader for Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Puerto Rico, a diverse and rapidly growing region of the U.S. Her engineering work focused on large ecosystem restoration projects, and the project she is most proud of is the design and construction of the $800 million C-44 Reservoir and Stormwater Treatment Area. Built by the South Florida Water Management District and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the award-winning project is part of the broader Everglades Restoration program, helping improve water quality and manage freshwater flows.
Beyond her work at HDR, Katie remains active in local and national committees of the American Council of Engineering Companies, contributing to the advancement of the engineering profession.
