Christina Alito, Ph.D., P.E., ENV SP
Christina's passion for providing clean and safe drinking water through the tap led her to pursue a career in water and wastewater treatment. As a Texas native, Christina participated in STEM programs at the University of Texas from a young age. She was inspired to pursue graduate studies which concentrated on the microbial ecology of water and the impacts of contaminants on sensitive water sources.
Now she resides in Northern Virginia and supports our water group with process engineering and applied research. She has participated in several Water Research Foundation studies focused on biofiltration optimization.
Christina is the chair of our drinking water compliance and technology practice group, which connects our professionals and fosters discussion of emerging water quality issues. Her passion is finding the bridge between research, technology and the best practical solutions for utilities.
