Hydropower Practice Lead, Eastern U.S.
Dave serves as a vice president and hydropower practice lead in the eastern U.S. As both owner and consultant, Dave has worked in all facets of the hydropower industry, including Federal Energy Regulatory Commission licensing, regulatory and legislative matters, environmental matters, powerhouse design and construction, upgrade and expansion projects, and energy and economic modeling. He has also led nationwide hydro development initiatives.
Over the course of his career, Dave has been involved in the relicensing of more than 55 hydroelectric facilities nationwide. He also leads strategic planning, application development, stakeholder negotiations and settlement agreements, as well as economic and operations analyses, to create effective, workable relicensing solutions.
Dave currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Hydropower Association, and has served in a leadership role between NHA and the U.S. Department of Energy, providing technical guidance and infusing NHA/industry interests and perspectives into the DOE’s development of the landmark 2016 Hydropower Vision Report.
