Fernando works hand-in-hand with clients to implement the emerging technologies shaping the electric grid of the future. He’s focused on integrating innovative and progressive solutions for electrification of the transportation sector, distributed energy resources, distributed automation, data management, augmented reality and artificial intelligence.
Fernando sees grid modernization as an opportunity to build the foundation for an electric grid that is digitally connected, smart, reliable and resilient. He’s passionate about working collaboratively with our clients and our own enthusiastic team of experts and innovators as we implement technology advancements that translate to resilient infrastructure.
As utilities, technology integrators and manufacturers adopt electric vehicles, Fernando works closely with them to support infrastructure needs. He’s in tune with the important role utilities play in developing and implementing programs that support installation of EV charging infrastructure, as well as the challenges fleet operators face as they transition operations to account for the introduction of zero emission vehicles.
Engineering News-Record California named Fernando a Top Young Professional for 2019. He’s actively engaged with the Western Energy Institute.
