James Wingert, S.E., P.E., LEED AP

James is the structural studio lead for our building engineering services group in Omaha, Nebraska. He serves as a project manager or lead structural engineer on specific projects in addition to his managerial responsibilities. He is administratively responsible for the studio staff and technical service functions and coordinating services with other studios.

As a structural engineer, James has several years of experience in designing structural systems for various facility types and traditional sectors, including academic, research, healthcare, federal, industrial, civic, and sports and recreation. As project structural engineer, he is responsible for the design of the foundations, structural framing for the floor and roof systems and lateral bracing systems. He has extensive experience delivering fast-track projects, where early structural packages are critical in meeting tight schedules. His experience has given him working knowledge in all types of construction, including structural steel, reinforced concrete, reinforced masonry and wood-framed building structures.
