Low Voltage Discipline Leader

Jim is a senior low voltage design specialist with over four decades of experience in project design engineering and project management of justice, healthcare, educational and commercial facilities. He has had responsibility for the design and project engineering and project management of projects totaling over $3 billion in construction costs.

Jim's areas of knowledge include all aspects of project/design engineering, including project solicitation, project labor hour budgets, schematic design documentation, construction documents, construction administration and project closeout. Additionally, he is knowledgeable of all aspects of project management as related to project set-up, contract administration, project scheduling, field installation, system implementation, commissioning, project coordination, field installation labor and start-up, and project close-out.

Jim has extensive design and construction experience pertaining to Div. 27 systems to include IT/data communications, nurse call, audio/visual, courtroom technology, distributed antenna/radio systems and Div. 28 electronic security systems to include door control, communications, access control, video surveillance, video visitation and arraignment systems. Additionally, Jim has worked for a low voltage integration contractor in the past and is knowledgeable about the contractor’s viewpoint relating systems fabrication and installation.
