Kevin Snyder, P.E.
Dams, Levees and Civil Works Director
Based in our Denver office, Kevin leads our civil works program and drives the integration of community resiliency approaches throughout our engineering programs.
Kevin is a respected dam safety and geotechnical engineer. He has partnered with clients on more than 50 dam safety inspections and served as an independent consultant on several FERC-regulated projects for clients, including Sacramento Municipal Utility District and the California Department of Water Resources. In his 20 years at HDR, Kevin has held various roles, most recently serving as our dam practice lead.
Kevin is an active member of the National Hydropower Association, representing us on the NHA CEO Council. He’s also a member of the United States Society on Dams and he regularly participates in local, regional and national meetings related to dam safety. Throughout his career, he has served in various roles, including lead engineer, program and project manager on large dam remediation projects, and has served as an independent consultant in the inspection of rockfill, earthfill, gravity concrete, and arch dam.
