As our global transportation professional services director, Rashed oversees the firm’s integrated approach to infrastructure delivery, comprising dozens of transportation services provided by more than 5,000 transportation professionals, including engineering, construction, program management, environmental, planning and advisory practices.
A more than 30-year veteran of the transportation industry, Rashed is responsible for strategic leadership, professional growth and management of key transportation initiatives. Based in Austin, Texas, he works across our transportation markets and services to advance technical capabilities, oversee smart technology adoption and continue HDR's reputation for exceptional client services.
Rashed’s leadership has been evident in the hundreds of projects he has completed in his career for many public and private clients, including the first continuous flow intersection in central Texas and his 20-year involvement in the award-winning 712-acre Robert Mueller Municipal Airport Redevelopment project.
He's actively involved in the community with many nonprofit organizations that are working to improve quality of life for Central Texans and has served on the boards of the Austin Chamber of Commerce, Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Austin and Austin Parks Foundation. In 2017, Rashed was inducted into the Academy of Distinguished Alumni of the Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering Department at the University of Texas at Austin for his contributions to the transportation industry and to the university.
