Shaun Nienhueser, P.E., LEED AP BD+C

Shaun is a registered mechanical engineer with 15 years of experience with building mechanical systems.  At the start of his career, he was a mechanical engineering intern at HDR. After spending time with other mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering consulting firms, he re-joined HDR in 2017. He has significant experience in the design and commissioning of HVAC, plumbing and control systems. Shaun’s project experience covers a vast range of projects types including, education, high-rise office, commercial, healthcare, federal as well as industrial facilities.

He has performed mechanical engineering support in a variety of areas including mechanical design calculations, building assessments, technical reports, field investigation, commissioning, specification writing and construction administration. In his management roles, Shaun utilizes his passion for team building and mentoring to help his team excel. He thrives on developing successful relationships with clients and fellow engineers, to ensure projects achieve their common goals.
