Creighton University Softball and Baseball Complex
Creighton University Softball and Baseball Complex
Collegiate Athletic Complex with Urban Impact
Just steps from Charles Schwab Field, Creighton University’s new softball and baseball complex is a bold reimagining of collegiate athletics in Omaha. Designed to serve student-athletes, national champions and the local community, the complex elevates Creighton’s legacy as the College World Series host while deepening its connection to the city.
Design Optimizes Fan and Player Experiences
The design for this dual-purpose complex brings once-hidden fields into the campus edge along Cuming Street, giving the programs a public-facing identity and inviting deeper community connection. With phased growth in mind, the complex is designed to evolve and features all-synthetic turf playing fields, enabling teams to begin practice earlier in the season.
Key design features:
- A baseball practice field designed to mirror Charles Schwab Field, equipped with a 760-seat bowl with additional seating in a grass berm and from the roof terrace of the future training facility.
- A softball competition venue featuring a recessed field and top-loaded 300-seat bowl with a video board for an immersive fan experience.
- Athlete amenities, including a shared indoor training facility for both programs, expanded dugouts and dedicated bullpens to elevate player development.
A Ballpark for Every Level of Play
Opening in phases starting in the fall of 2025, the complex will host Creighton athletics, intramural sports and youth tournaments, becoming a hub for baseball and softball in Omaha.
