Scott Technology Center
Growing Businesses with Secure, Reliable Data
Security, reliability and safety were the primary design considerations in the development of the Scott Technology Center, a facility where Omaha-based entrepreneurs can operate, collaborate and grow their businesses. The facility provides high speed standard network capabilities as well as the opportunity to access university, research and government sponsored networks. Special use areas designated in the facility include: a steel lined room available for radio frequency testing, an audio visual conference room, and information assurance team laboratory. Open for tenant use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, state-of-the-art security control measures are integral to the use of the building, as is the ability to accommodate differing spatial needs of clients.
Key features:
- The hardened facility is designed to withstand wind loads of 200 miles per hour, utilizing a cast in place concrete wall system with pre-cast concrete panel cladding on the exterior.
- Ten rentable 1,400 SF spaces and smaller individual rooms are available to create a unique and flexible arrangement for tenant needs and are equipped with radio frequency shielding and an STC rating of 45.
- Security features include monitored gates, a staffed entry checkpoint, secured access in accordance with Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) requirements, video surveillance and security personnel, and a six foot high decorative perimeter fence.
- Back-up mechanical and electrical systems, including for heat rejection equipment, ventilation, and smoke control systems, provide the redundancy needed to reliably protect data.
