HDR Promotes Ohio Transportation Leaders

HDR has promoted two experienced planning and design professionals to help lead its holistic transportation services. HDR’s Matt Selhorst, AICP, has accepted a new role as the Ohio Transportation Leader, and HDR’s Jake Stremmel will now serve as the Ohio Transportation Business Development Leader.

Based in Columbus, Ohio, Selhorst will partner with transportation teams throughout the state to provide its clients with solutions to their toughest challenges. He will coordinate staff and resources, oversee key projects, and deepen client relationships across the transportation market in the area to offer full life cycle services that meet the mobility needs of Ohio communities. 

“I have always had a great desire to see improvements to Ohio’s transportation network whether it is new highways, bridges, transit or airports,” said Selhorst. “With my desire as well as my experience working statewide with multiple disciplines, I can bring additional advice to our clients to help them achieve their transportation goals.”

Collaborating with Selhorst and other HDR transportation experts in Ohio, Stremmel will further develop the transportation practice in the region. He will lead transportation business development activities, monitor market trends and build stronger relationships with clients from all markets.

“I look forward to connecting the innovative engineers and designers at HDR with our clients as the market changes and new technologies emerge in the transportation industry,” Stremmel said. “I am confident that HDR’s diverse staff have the tools and ideas to meet the challenges our clients’ are facing today.”

HDR has a strong ongoing line of innovative work in Ohio, including helping develop the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority Strategic Plan, serving as the independent quality firm for the Southern Ohio Veterans Memorial Highway and leading the design of the award-winning Interstate-71/MLK Interchange project
