Stranded Assets and The Flight to Quality
The real–life consequences of climate change are increasingly prevalent as global temperatures and instances of extreme heat, rainfall, drought and sea levels rise. Intelligent solutions are coming to market, to help reduce our negative impact on the planet. One area in which we can make a significant difference is within the built environment, given that buildings account for almost 40% of global carbon emissions.
In our third thought leadership breakfast event, HDR's London Office welcomed clients from across the industry. Alex Dunn, associate director, eloquently delivered his presentation, "Stranded Assets and The Flight to Quality," exploring various policy initiatives, the transition to renewable energy, while demonstrating how the industry can embrace and champion circular economy principles.
Afterwards, an engaging conversation took place. There was consensus that despite the plethora of challenges, our industry is committed and will continue to collaborate as we strive to reach a net zero future.
