HDR Earns 2025 Engineering News-Record Regional Awards
Several HDR projects received recognition from the ENR Regional Best Projects 2025 Awards. The award program is dedicated to honoring the best construction projects and the companies that designed and built them in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Projects competed in 18 specialized categories covering a wide range of facilities and infrastructure. ENR's regional editions judged the projects using five criteria, including safety, innovation and teamwork.
Projects deemed best in their category will automatically compete in the national Best of the Best Projects competition, the winners of which will be announced in early 2026.
The regional categories and their winning projects to date include:
East – New York
- New York City Central Business District Tolling Program – Best Project Award, Specialty Construction
East – MidAtlantic
- I-64 Improvement – Kanawha River Bridge – Best Project Award, Highway/Bridge
Mountain States & Southwest - Southwest
- Mountain Line Downtown Connection Center – Best Project Award, Airport/Transit; Excellence in Sustainability Award; Finalist, Project of the Year Award
- Virgin River Bridge No. 1 – Best Project Award, Highway/Bridge
Texas and Southeast – Texas & Louisiana
- 30 Crossing – Best Project Award, Highway/Bridge
- San Pedro Creek Culture Park – Merit Award, Landscape/Urban Development
West
- Carlsbad Desalination Plant Intake and Discharge Facility – Best Project Award, Water/Environment
- Orange County Sanitation District Headquarters Complex – Best Project Award, Government/Public Building
