Kaela Bailey, CM

Strategic Communications Manager

“I have always believed that people should be given the information they need to make the best decisions for their lives. Nowhere is that more true than in the work I do now, which ultimately helps people stay connected to each other whether through planes, roads or the virtual tools that we’re all utilizing more frequently these days.”

With 15 years of experience in marketing, public relations and communications, Kaela specializes in developing and executing strategic communications campaigns designed to build relationships among the public, the media, business leaders, board members and other key stakeholders with an eye towards delivering measurable results.

As a strategic communications manager, Kaela provides insightful guidance to help our teams and clients provide clear and transparent information to stakeholders, cultivating trust, improving service and keeping projects on schedule. She is also leading the public involvement efforts for several infrastructure projects, including one of the largest highway reconstruction projects in South Carolina’s history.

Kaela has been recognized in Airport Business Magazine’s “40 Under 40,” The State Newspaper’s “20 Under 40,” and the SC Black Pages’ list of “40 Under 40.” She is a graduate of Leadership Columbia and has been listed as a Woman of Influence by the Columbia Regional Business Report and by Southeastern Business Magazine. In 2017, she published her children’s book, “Zoey’s First Plane Ride,” which offers a colorful, fun-to-read guidebook for kids preparing for their first airport experience.

An engaged and active member of the industry, Kaela is a certified member of the American Association of Airport Executives and has received certificates in crisis communication training from the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
