Research on 20 North American Climate Action Plans identified over 300 waste-related climate actions — a quarter of them focused on organics management. Spanning 15 cities and five counties in North America, the climate action plans reinforced the critical role organics management plays in climate resiliency and decarbonization, focused on key infrastructural opportunities in composting and anaerobic digestion.
