HDR Research Unveils Significant Organics Management Opportunity in North American Climate Action Plans

Webinar to Feature Opportunities in Composting and Anaerobic Digestion

HDR announced a webinar to unveil the organics management opportunities discovered during a research project that identified hundreds of waste actions in 20 North American climate action plans. Led by sustainability and resiliency expert Kate Bartelt and organics management pioneer Tim Raibley, the webinar will focus on key infrastructure opportunities in composting and anaerobic digestion.

“It’s eye-opening to see the role organics management plays in climate resiliency reinforced in these climate action plans,” Bartelt said. “Our research revealed over 300 waste climate actions in the plans – more than a quarter of them focused on organics management.”

The webinar builds on an HDR presentation earlier this year summarizing big-picture findings of the climate action plan research.

HDR invites those interested in learning about the organics management opportunities to register for the event. The webinar, “Organics Management Opportunities Unveiled in North American Climate Action Plans,” is scheduled for Noon CDT Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023.
