June began her career as a teacher, where she developed a profound interest in approaches to teaching and learning — and the space that supports it. Over the course of her 30-year career she has translated this passion into vanguard insight into learning environments, collaborating with faculty and other researchers to understand their methodologies, pedagogies, objectives and concerns. June is known for her innovative approach to academic and lab planning and her ability to facilitate communication among scientists, educators, students, administrators and facility managers.
At HDR, June has been at the forefront of developing teaching, simulation and research environments that are flexible, efficient and most importantly, conducive to learning. June frequently presents on topics related to best practices in campus and academic planning and the design of teaching and simulation labs, classrooms and lecture halls at conferences such as the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) and Tradeline.
